Women Empowerment with Healing Beauty by Stepf

In honour of Women’s History Month, Posh Lash Professional Inc. has decided to select a few individuals to express their thoughts about what women empowerment means to them on our platform. We wanted to be able to share their story and show our support to women who own a business from food, to custom skincare to health supplements.

Introducing Stepfanie, founder of Healing Beauty by Stepf. Healing Beauty provides high quality, non-toxic, organic and highly effective CBD products at an affordable rate. Stepf educates consumers on skincare ingredients, specifically the multiple benefits of CBD when used topically. As a certified skin therapist, Stepf has not only studied skin but worked in a spa, so she understands all about harsh chemicals, and how that impacts our skin and body. As we get older and the world is constantly changing, we have become more conscious about the ingredients we put in our bodies. However, sometimes we forget to look at the ingredients list on our favourite skincare products. Stepf's goal with Healing Beauty is to make all natural, no preservatives in her healing skincare line to provide the peace of mind in case you do forget to look at the ingredient list.

What made you decide to go into business?

If I can give any advice to anyone who is interested in starting their own business would be not only to believe in yourself, but to always be able to stand behind your product or whatever services you are providing. If you're putting your name on something you need to make sure you're using proper ingredients and have the knowledge to back yourself up. I've always wanted to be in charge of my own life and be my own boss, which included working on my own schedule and planning my day around things that were truly important to me and the only way I was able to do that was by being my own boss and creating my own company.

Anything you want to say to those who want to start their own business.

Starting a business is not easy, and it definitely doesn't happen overnight. You need to have the drive and motivation to keep going at it, even if it fails the first time. Like anything you do in life you need to push yourself and most importantly and as cheesy as it sounds BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

How did you balance being a mother and professional? What have you sacrificed (both personally and professionally) at each stage of your career? If you are not a mother, what did you have to sacrifice in your personal life to become where you are now?

Being a single mom and running a business is hard, and balancing both is even harder. I've had to sacrifice a lot of things to get to where i am now. Either that be losing bonding time with my daughter to get things done or losing alone/downtime to work on my business. With that being said I've also had to push business opportunities and future projects on the back burner to spend time with my little one as well. The key is to *try* to balance your work life and personal life so either of them gets left behind.

Who in your life inspires you? It can be anyone or any company.

Funny enough i have to say my mother. I've never met anyone who was a harder worker than her. Not only did she raise 3 children on her own but she went back to school and had two jobs. She showed me that you can accomplish anything, if you put your mind to it and keep working at it.

What is your long-term goal for your business? (example: what do you hope to achieve, or where do you hope to see your business in 5 years?

In the next 5 years i would love to be an entrepreneur in multiple industries. Starting this business has inspired me to make more products similar to what my company stands for which is using a more natural approach to everyday essentials. With that being said i would also like to open up my own coffee shop and maybe see where else my mind takes me.
